Trimming a Tree and Making Dreams Come True

As you all know Coldwell Banker has a strong partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana (RMHC). From sponsoring the toy room to serving meals to hosting events at the house, I am personally very proud of how much you all give back to this worthwhile charity. One of the many RMHC opportunities this holiday season was a “Rooftop Holiday Tree Sponsorship.” For $1,000 anyone could sponsor one of 30 trees placed on the phenomenal rooftop of the House. All of the funds raised went towards the cost of housing families. While it costs $50 to host a family each night, RMHC only asks for a $10 donation, and no family is ever turned away if they are unable to pay.

I’m excited to share that not only did we have one tree on the rooftop, members of our Coldwell Banker family sponsored 5 of the 30 trees. That’s a collective $5,000! Our funds alone will pay for 100 family nights. Plus, as a sponsor, we were able to decorate our own trees and bring a little joy to the families staying there. I personally had a wonderful time with my own family and friends trimming my Ronald McDonald House tree.

Thank you to everyone who was a part of this holiday celebration. I wish all of you and your families a happy and healthy holiday season.
